If You can use anything Lord, You can use me

Every morning, before I even go to brush my teeth, I say short prayer of commitment to God and that He would be with me throughout the day. These past few days however, I've been praying that God would use me to bring one person that much closer to knowing the Lord.
As some of you may know, I try to go home as often as I can to worship with you in Scarborough. But last night, as tried to do just that, all my attempts at catching the next bus or the next train out, failed. I missed 2 buses and a train last night. So I went back to my Hamilton home, and honestly felt that the Holy Spirit was with me. I did not know why but I knew that I was meant to stay here this weekend. Sabbath morning, as I was waiting for my ride to pick me up to go to church, I decided to read Steps to Christ by Ellen White, after all it was just sitting on top of my desk. When we had arrived, I noticed a new face had sat beside me in Sabbath school class. We introduced ourselves very briefly and began to study the Sabbath school lesson. As we began the discussion, she had many good questions about prophets especially about Ellen White; I came to realize that she was not a Seventh-day Adventist.
After the class ended, I asked her what she knew about Mrs. White and she told me that she just heard her name a couple times but didn't know much about her. She said that she was very much interested to learn about her because she did not know that God still sends prophets to us today. Just then, I remembered that I had Steps to Christ with me. I showed her the book, told her that this was a book written by Ellen White and told her that she could keep it. She was so happy and very thankful.

I asked the Lord to use me as His instrument to work His will in my life, and I believe that He did just that even if it was something as small as giving someone a book. As the Sabbath school leader had said this morning (who happened to be Cal from the Orangville church), sometimes the Holy spirit has already been working within people stirring something up, and we are just there to put the 'cherry on top'. The Holy Spirit works in mighty ways; ways that we may not even understand. Why did I miss two buses and a train last night? Why did I decided to bring Steps to Christ with me to church? As insignificant as the situation may seem, God can use YOU to lead others the truth. The Bible says that we will be accountable for those who were not saved because we did not take the opportunity to witness to them (Ezek 33:6).The Lord is ready to equip those who are willing to be used by Him. Let us daily commit our lives to God and asked to be His instruments that we may bring others closer to Jesus.

What a great testimony! Things may not go like we expect in life but we need to trust that God is always guiding us. Psalm 32:8 came to mind when I read this post.
