Hi again, I just thought since I could now log on to the page that I would add a slide show with all the pictures of the various Impact 212 activities. Some of the pictures were from sundown worship, Youth week of prayer, Bramalea SDA, Mississauga SDA, Camping, and other activities.
Hope you enjoy=)
IMPACT 212 @ Toronto Pilipino SDA Company
Posted by Christine Lazel Alberastine at 5:02 PM Labels: Church Inreach, mediaHello beloved Impact 212 members and users alike,
Our in reach ministry at Toronto Pilipino SDA Company was quite the success. It was a blessing for us to minister and deliver such an uplifting service and most of all glorifying God's name. It was also a blessing to have the Toronto Pilipino Company participate in singing praises and engage in our discussion which outlined the WORD OF GOD bible study. We were also blessed by the presence of Kuya Jason and Kuya Angelo's family. Once again, we did the Armour of God exercise and everyone seemed to have enjoyed it. I would just like to say that I'm very proud of our accomplishments thus far, and I encourage us all to continue to maintain strong devotional, prayer and spiritual lives.
"O God, You are my God
Early I will seek You
My soul thirsts for you
My flesh longs for you
In a dry and thirsty land
Where there is no water
So I have looked for You in the sanctuary
To see Your power and Your Glory"
(Psalms 63:1,2)
Here are some photos. Enjoy and God Bless.
Our own Angelo Austria guest speaks at Toronto Pilipino. you can actually watch his sermon entitled "Encountering God" on the Toronto Pilipino website.

Hey everyone!
The Lord has truly blessed us with giving us the opportunity to minister to our fellow seventh-day Adventists. Today, at the Mississauga Filipno SDA church, during the group dynamics ice breaker, not only did we enjoy dressing up the roman soldiers and watching them fight, but we gained some valuable insight into what it takes to become a soldier for Christ and the proper armor we should put on. We saw how some armor held steadfast during battle while others began to fall apart just walking to the front lines.
What I found interesting was the "battle" between Eidlevies and Micah (awww so cute!). Eidlevies's armor was very ...pretty looking. She had the pleated skirt, the over-exaggerated sword, the works! Kudos to the groups creativity *thumbs up* In spite of this, we all know who CLEARLY won the mock battle. This little soldier boy, whose armor wasn't all that aesthetically pleasing, but held steadfast (maybe it was because Micah was beating her armor like a pinata, but it probably would have fallen apart either way). Every swing Micah took at Eidlevies, something fell off, but when Eidlevies swung at Micah, it was like hitting a tank.
This scene reminded me of one of Kuya Angelo's points he made during his sermon - false readiness. The armor Eidlevies had on portrayed her readiness for battle while Micah just looked like...i don't even know, he just looked like a heap of newspaper. Like Peter, we can claim that we are ready to head into the battlefield and that we are ready to take a stand and die for Christ. But when we actually cross paths with temptation or times of tribulation, how firm will our armor really stand?
To use myself as an example, before this ministry started, I was going to church because it was routine and i was putting on a front to seem as though i was a good christian. I would lead out in song service sometimes, do opening or closing prayer, go to nursing homes and sing...all that other stuff. I was exemplifying false readiness. If you had asked me why I believe in God, or why I am even a christian, I would have not been able to give a defence (1 Peter 3:15). I would have been ruined just like Eidlevies's armour. However, I realized how unready I was if I were ever to be put on the front lines of christian warfare. The only thing that would protect us from the battle against evil, temptation and Satan himself, is the armor of God. We can put this armor on by doing what is urged of us - reading our bible and pray. I don't want to sound all preachy, but from my experience, there is nothing more satisfying than spending time with the Lord in prayer. Beginning a day with prayer prepares me for a new day, and if I happen to come across temptation, I have a renewed armor which God has protected me with at the beginning of the day when i spent time with Him in prayer.
I hope and pray that all of us will be ready, bearing the armor of God when we are called to take a stand for Christ and to represent what it truly means to be a Christian.
