"Blessed are the poor in spirit"

I was really moved by this particular passage and felt that i had to share this...

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

this has really spoken to me because recently i've been really judgemental on a lot of people and have been alienating myself. but through great freinds and the Holy Spirit, i've changed my perspective.

i've realized that everyone makes mistakes and falls now and then but that doesn't mean that they are bad people. each of us go through an individual spiritual journey and grow at our own pace. we fall, make mistakes and give into temptation but we are BLESSED because we learn to pick ourselves up.

but we can not pick ourselves up by our own strength. we need to rely on Jesus Christ to help us up and overcome.
