Perfection

God calls us to be "perfect" but that does not mean "sinless". we are sinful by nature and we will never be rid of sin until Jesus comes again. to be perfect in the biblical sense is to allow Jesus to dwell within you so you may grow in the Spirit and rid yourself from sin; one sin after the other.

We are sinful by nature.
1 John 1:8-10

God says that we have sin. in realizing that you have sin and confess them to God, He will forgive you.

Walk in the Spirit, not in the flesh.

Examples of being "perfect"

The bible says Noah lived a perfect life but he was not sinless.
Gen. 6:9
bible says Noah lived a perfect life.

Noah got drunk, so he is not sinless.

Greek word for mature is "Teleios". it means: complete, perfect, mature, having attained its purpose, lived up to best available life.
1 Cor. 2:6

Drinkers of milk are babies and unskilled; the spiritually matured needs solid food. you cannot attain perfection instantly - spiritual maturity requires growth.
